Diving with sharks was one of the most profound moments of my life. The courage to go on this journey all by myself. From Vienna to the Maldives, to a small Island called Fuvahmulah. I was the only Freediver. The weather was rainy, the sea choppy. I stand on the boat looking at big waves knowing what waits beneath - and I am about to jump right in. Excitement turned into nervousness. I questioned my decision making. Then i dove into the blue.
I will never forget the feeling of seeing the first shadow and the sudden calmness diving side by side with those graceful apex predators.
"When it feels scary to jump in - that is exactly when you jump"
And that changed my life.
